JadaTalks Presents: The End of Irony and the Birth of New Sincerity

During Paris Art Week, JadaTalks presents a conversation on The End of Irony and the Birth of New SincerityNew Sincerity repudiates the idea of irony and any other concept that purposely distorts meaning. The new sincerity movement strives to communicate an earnest meaning clearly and concisely. For too long we have relied on irony to express our ideas and our relationships with one another. The future today calls for naivete and sincerity in the way we approach one another to ensure that nothing gets lost in translation across the hybrid digital / physical landscape that we currently operate out of. Tune in on October 24, 2020 at Noon EST to hear from our guest speaker Cheselyn Amato, Suzanne Khalil, Ph.D. and co-founder of Jada, Jonatas during this online and live streaming art conversation.

Cheselyn Amato is a New Jersey girl with NYC at her core. She spent 20 years in Chicago before moving to Northern California where she currently lives in Davis. She earned her BA in studio art and comparative religious studies at Brown University and an MFA in drawing, painting and new genres at Tyler School of Art of Temple University. Cheselyn is an interdisciplinary visual artist/poet and transformation experience instigator/designer for sublimity, awe and delight. She is a current member of The Jewish Art Salon.
